UN Women, the new UN organisation dedicated to gender equality and the empowerment of women, celebrates its launch.

Honouring the Past – Envisioning the Future for Women and Girls, the event will be hosted by Ms. Michelle Bachelet, Under-Secretary-General and Executive Director, UN Women.

The evening event featuring music and film brings together political leaders, extraordinary women leaders, media personalities and celebrities, will be emceed by Ms. Christiane Amanpour.
